Wine and cheese night was a brie-ze

We had a fantastic Wine and Cheese Night on Saturday 11 November, themed around Remembrance Day. There were some tasty wines from Waitrose and scrumptious cheese, chutney and biscuits from Borough Market (Neal's Yard and Le Marche de Quartier).

24 merry members blind-tasted six wines from six of the big players from the World Wars. There were some that everyone loved, and others that everyone didn't like so much. They had to guess the country, grape and price for each wine, in order to wine a bottle of classy champagne at the end of the night. And what would the losers get? A classic wooden spoon.
