Stuart McTiernan and Tom Daley are organising an American Doubles tournament on Easter Monday - Monday 5 April, 11am-2pm. The tournament is open to all Peak and Intermediate members (male and female).
 
In an American tournament, you will play with several different partners in short, sudden death sets. The winner will be the player with the most games won. We will have a men's and women's winner.

Julia Lamb and Margaret Boyer won a hard fought final 6-3 against Reena Cotsford-Dolden and Rosita Herath to take the trophy.

A very close and tense Men's Drawn Doubles competition saw the father and son combination of Stuart and Ryan McTiernan beat Mihai Hutanu and Krystian Ozynski 6-4 to take the trophy. 

An exciting Mixed Drawn competition saw the unbeaten pair of Tom Daley and Steph Cochrane go head to head with junior Ryan McTiernan and his partner Julia Lamb. An exciting final saw Ryan and Julia win 6-1 to take the trophy.

The Middlesex Summer Tennis League started a couple of weeks ago and all our six teams have played their first matches of the Season.

Having supporters at the matches make all the difference to our teams, so please support them in the matches to come when you can! You can view match dates on our calendar, adult teams competition page and direct on the LTA website.

The lists for entering the adult club tournaments this summer (May-July) are now posted in the clubhouse. The tournaments are: Men's and Ladies' Singles, Men's and Ladies' Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Veterans' Doubles. As we did last year, we also plan to run a Plate Event for those who are knocked out in the early rounds of the Men's Singles if we have a good amount of competitors.

Who are these tourneys for?
These tournaments are open to all Full and Intermediate (ie student) members. And this year, 5-day members may also take part at a cost of £5 per tournament (note that there is no charge for entering the Veterans' Tournament).

We would love for lots of our full, intermediate or paying 5-day members to enter the tournaments to make the competitions more interesting (however, please do not enter if you know you're going away for longer than 2 weeks during the tournaments or if you cannot make finals day).

What dates do I need to know?
The draw for the tournaments will take place on Friday 3 May (at the same time as the Wimbledon draw) and Finals day will be held on Sunday 7 July, the middle Sunday of Wimbledon.

We are holding an Open Day on the middle Sunday of Wimbledon, 8 July, 2-5pm. Have you got friends based in Harrow who are feeling inspired by Wimbledon or the World Cup and thinking about joining a friendly sports community? Bring them along for some fun tennis and strawberries and cream. 🎾☀️

What a fantastic start to England's World Cup campaign! Come watch the next match at our Club on Sunday 24 June as England takes on Panama. There'll be a tasty BBQ from around 12.30pm, the bar will be open and tennis will follow. Guests of members are very welcome to come to the BBQ and to watch the match.
