Social tennis

Our social club times are a big part of our tennis club, as they offer opportunities for our members (and their guests at £5 per play, or £10 with lights) to either practise what they've learnt from our coaches or to simply mix in with other members and have a laugh. During these designated club times, tennis balls are provided free of charge and the use of the floodlights are included in our membership fees. But for us, social times aren't just about the tennis. After the tennis comes the fun times around our fully licensed bar, a spot of pool and friendly chats. Get fit and have fun with HWLTC friends!

Morning tennis

Whether you’re retired, on shift work or on holiday, all Full, Five-day and Intermediate members are welcome to play tennis on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am-12pm.

Wednesday night

Our busiest night of the week! Every Wednesday from 6pm, our Full, Intermediate and Five-day members can have some friendly fours, playing seven games per four in busy periods.

Saturday afternoon

What's a weekend without tennis? Saturday afternoons between 2pm and 5pm give our Full and Intermediate members a chance to play set after set in mixed fours in the daylight.

Play & Stay

Family Social
Every first Saturday of the month from 5pm. Full and Intermediate members can Play some fun tennis and then Stay for a takeaway and social after.
Family Social Tennis on Sundays, 2–4pm, is a fabulous opportunity for members and their children to get even more value from their membership.
