The Easter weekend was full of social and community, with fun activities and tasty food on Good Friday and Easter Sunday (and the usual Saturday social in between, of course). It's true what they say: you should grab marigolds and paint brushes by the horns. Or something like that. And that we did on Good Friday! Gary's new handy wood work on the outside of the clubhouse was given a few licks of paint, the tennis nets, clubhouse and plants were spruced up, and branches outside the courts were swept and burned (very, very carefully - right, Ryan?). Thanks to all our members for coming along to help, and for the well-earnt hot cross buns and fish and chips. In place of the American tournament (which was cancelled due to lack of entries), we had an impromptu competition with some of our adult and junior members. There were about as many rounds of tennis as there were rounds of cake - for which we were truly grateful. Thanks to Stu and Tom for running the day, and to members for bringing a tasty selection of pastries and cake. (And thanks to the weather for not bringing us snow.) Watch the Facebook video of the awards presentation on our Facebook page. We hope to rearrange the American Tournament, so keep an eye for news. Next up in our social calendar: Play and Stay on Saturday 7 April, 5pm.
