Finals Day rained off - matches rearranged

Thanks to all that came to our Finals Day on Saturday 22 July, bearing sandwiches, cakes and cheer! Unfortunately there was little tennis due to the rain, for the first time in many many years, and the majority of finals have been rearranged - but we did have some tasty food.

We fitted one whole match in: congratulations to Asha who won her first Ladies' Singles title by 6-0 7-6 against Tasha, playing a nail-biting second set in the rain. We now bear news of our Veterans' Final result: congratulations to Billy and Rosita who beat Mike and Margaret by 6-3 in their final on Sunday!

We left the Men's Singles Final at 6-4 to Simon before the rain got unbearable to play in. Find out when you can see the end of their match and the doubles finals below, along with details about our Play & Stay BBQ special coming up next Saturday.

Play & Stay BBQ Special - Saturday 5 August, 5pm
There will be play for full, 5-day and intermediate members from 5pm, and stay for all from 7ish. If you will be coming to the BBQ, please add your name to our Doodle, so we know how much food to get!
