Drawn winners or born winners?

We had some fantastic games in the Men's and Ladies' Drawn Tournaments on Sunday 1 October. The Men's ended in a tight final between Petr & Ryan and Kevin & Kristian, and the Ladies' Final between Hannah & Rosita and Maggie & Tasha saw deuce galore.

In the Men's, Yogi & Boris were close to making the final, but were stopped in their tracks by finalists who scraped some easier wins. Only cheers and applause could be heard from the clubhouse as the youth-and-experience pairings battled it out, neck and neck until the very last break - Petr & Ryan clinched the title by 7-5.

​After coming second in the box matches, Maggie & Tasha stormed ahead in the Ladies' final to claim victory over Hannah & Rosita by 6-1 in a match that had more sudden death deuces than an orange in a blender.

It was a great Sunday afternoon at the Club, completed with tea and cake as Tasha continued Teatime at Tennis in aid of Mind.
