Members enjoyed Play and Stay on the first Saturday of the December month - a very cold night! All four courts were in use, with thanks to Steve's excellent organisation of the peg board. A tasty supper was enjoyed by all accompanied with a few drinks while we decorated the club house with new Christmas decorations.

Chilly April is nearly over and we are fast approaching May. The French Open starts on 22 May so that should give you plenty of inspiration to come and play. Here’s what’s going on so pop these dates in your diary and come and support your club.
Despite the somewhat changeable weather, we had a good evening's tennis with only a couple of brief rain stops. It made it feel a bit Wimbledonesque!!
It was good to welcome Adrian from the Improvers group, joining in and playing well. After a couple of hours of play, we reverted to the Club's bar and 15 of us sat down and enjoyed fish and chips (at a nominal cost of £6.50); the TV was on and the pool table was in use. All in all, it was a fun and easy-going night with friends; not expensive and no dressing up required! You can find out more about Play & Stay on our Social tennis page. Come along to the next Play & Stays on 2 April, 7 May and 4 June - 5pm start. We look forward to seeing you all at the next one! Post by Reena (Social Secretary) |
